The Service — including all source code, designs, logos, text, data models, algorithms, and build artifacts — is owned by the Owner and protected by copyright, trademark, trade-secret, and other laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service only through official builds we provide, and only for your own tax record-keeping. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Access requires an account and an active subscription where applicable. You are responsible for your credentials and for activity under your account. Fees, billing, trials, and renewals are as presented on our website and processed by our payment provider (Stripe). There is no in-app purchase in Google Play or the App Store. Referral credits vest only on genuine, retained paid use. Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel anytime in your dashboard under Settings → Manage billing, and access continues until the end of the paid period.
You may connect third-party services (Tesla, calendar, contacts, Zoho Mail, Square, QuickBooks Online). You authorize us to access those only as needed to provide the features you enable; you can disconnect at any time. Sensitive tax identifiers (SSN/EIN) are stored encrypted on your device and are not transmitted to our servers. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Tax period close. Trips in the current tax period (IRS estimated-tax periods: Jan 1–Mar 31, Apr 1–May 31, Jun 1–Aug 31, Sep 1–Dec 31) can be edited freely. After a period ends, you can still edit that period's trips for about 45 days (until 23:59:59 your local time on day 45); it then closes at 00:00 on day 46. If your device has not reported a time zone, we use your business (LLC) location if known, otherwise your registration location, and New York (Eastern) only as a last resort, and we extend the close by 24 hours. At close the period's archive is sealed as a read-only archive and can no longer be edited in the app. It is kept read-only for 3 years from its close, including after you delete your account (see the Privacy Policy). We cannot reopen or change a closed tax period, including on request to support. After close, the records are your responsibility: review your trips before the period closes and keep your downloaded PDF and JSON files for as long as you need them.
CyberDeduct helps you record and estimate mileage and vehicle deductions. It is not a substitute for a tax professional. Reconstructed/estimated trips are labeled as estimates; you are responsible for the accuracy of your records and filings. We make no guarantee of any particular tax outcome.
Pre-release builds are confidential. Authorized testers must not share builds, screenshots of non-public features, or credentials with anyone outside the Owner's direction.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LIKE LLC'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO CYBERDEDUCT OR THESE TERMS IS LIMITED TO THE SUBSCRIPTION FEES YOU ACTUALLY PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY OTHER LOSSES OR DAMAGES, INCLUDING INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR TAX PENALTIES. THIS LIMIT DOES NOT APPLY TO LIABILITY FOR FRAUD, GROSS NEGLIGENCE, WILLFUL MISCONDUCT, OR ANY LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
We may suspend or terminate access for any breach of these Terms or the license. Sections on ownership, prohibited conduct, confidentiality, disclaimers, and liability survive termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Venue lies exclusively in the state and federal courts located in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
